Dr. Jenny Tuten is Associate Professor, Literacy Education at Hunter College. Her teaching and scholarship are practitioner-focused, closely aligned with the challenges and opportunities facing teachers as they strive to meet the needs of literacy learners in urban schools. She has co-authored books and articles about literacy assessment and interventions and teacher professional learning. Prior to coming to Hunter College, she taught elementary and middle school in NYC, Hoboken, NJ and London, UK.
