Dr. Denise Levine has been a teacher, staff developer, principal, local instructional superintendent and adjunct associate professor of literacy and learning. Her research has focused on classroom talk, authentic assessment, writing for professional purposes, building teachers’ capacity and creating a school culture based on respectful relationships, mindfulness and reflection. She is very excited about joining the READ East Harlem Community, sharing her expertise, and learning from others on the team and in the schools.
