Dr. Ann E. Ebe began her work in schools as a bilingual elementary school teacher, reading specialist and administrator. She has worked in schools and universities in California, Arizona, Hong Kong, Massachusetts, New York, and most recently, Mexico City. She served as Director of Bilingual Education and Associate Professor of Literacy Education at Hunter College and continues to teach in these programs. Her primary research interests include exploring translanguaging in classrooms, the reading process of bilingual students, and the selection of culturally relevant texts. Her latest co-authored book, published by Heinemann, is entitled ESL Teaching: Principles for Success.
